Lorena brings to ARTVERBIUM a deep and diverse professional experience of over 18 years within the art, culture, and luxury sectors. Throughout her career she has set the creative vision and lead the development of multi-faceted art, culture, and luxury projects implemented in Europe, Asia, South and North America.
Lorena’s practice has been shaped while working as creative consultant, strategy director, design faculty, and as the International Creative Director at Christie’s in New York and London. She is currently the executive artistic director of Emerge | Converge, an international immersive exhibition cycle created by Artverbium, which brings together art collectors and influential international artists.
Marissa is a senior marketing leader, with deep experience in global multiplatform campaigns for the art industry. An outstanding 30-year career in the top echelons of the auction world, gave her the ability to successfully position the most prestigious art collections in the market, achieving impressive financial records while capturing audiences worldwide.
Leading international marketing teams as a long-term SVP at Christie’s, Marissa delivered successful holistic campaigns for market-defining sales such as the Peggy and David Rockefeller Collection, Pablo Picasso’s Les Femmes d’Alger, Amedeo Modigliani’s Nu Couché, and Leonardo Da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi among others. As an expert storyteller with a keen understanding of the cultural world, Marissa brings to Artverbium her ability to see both the big picture and smaller critical details, complementing our strategic and branding vision.
Co-Founder of the Women Art Dealers Digital Archives (WADDA), Veronique holds a Ph.D. from the Graduate Center of CUNY, a Master in Art History from NYU, and a BA in History of XIX and XX Century Art at Université Paris-Sorbonne. Her vast academic experience includes post-graduate internships in Museology at École du Louvre, positions as adjunct professor at various American universities, in addition to her long-standing role as President of Christie’s Education in North America, and director of its academic programs for over a decade.
Throughout her career, Véronique has held research positions at MoMA, and participated as a speaker at the Centre Pompidou, the MET, and Yale University among others. As co-founder of the New York chapter of the International Art Market Studies Association, and member of the Society for the History of Collecting, Véronique adds an unparalleled level of art market and art history expertise to the projects developed by Artverbium.
A curator, artist, and designer, José Dario holds PhD and Master in Visual Arts from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA-USP), and a BA in Graphic Design from the National University of Colombia, a country where he also held various adjunct professor positions in the fields of fine arts, photography and film.
His curatorial and research work focuses on technology, geography, and their cultural interdependencies, often organizing cultural events related to digital arts, along with various research groups mainly based in Brazil. Departing from his own experience as an artist and designer who emigrated and established himself in a country different to his origin, Jose Darío contributes his prime and current knowledge of the artists, artistic, and cultural currents emerging in South America, which comes to round up the keen multi-cultural vision of the projects undertaken by Artverbium.
